Hi Kali,

Correct. There are a whole lot of field IDs reserved for all the
different kinds of system fields. If you have a field on a regular
form that has an ID that doesn't match those of the reserved system
fields you won't be able to change it.

These days you can change attributes and behaviours though so that to
a user it would look like a system field. Not sure what you're trying
to do though.
