Thanks Joe, In my testing, found exactly what you stated: Once a relationship is removed and the status of that record is set to Delete, it is never used again...even if you re-create the same relationship (which creates a NEW relationship record).
Thanks for the note and will definitely start "cleaning up" these outdate relationship records.
