Barb,

The company I worked for used ITSM in a Service Provider role so we had
multiple companies set up.

It worked rather well, but we did have to rework many of the reports as they
assumed one company, not multiple. We also had some issues with security. ITSM
assumed that access would be on a basis of who was to be allowed, not who was
not to be allowed.

For example, helpdesk folks always had unrestricted access to any company so
they could work with any company. Ok, but what happens if you have someone who
is not cleared to work with one company, you must list every other company
*but* that one in the access list. Not bad if you support a couple dozen
companies, but if you support 300+, it is a PITA.

All in all, it works with the major annoyance that once the Company Name is
set, you cannot easily change it. I was told in 8.0 that would change. Othe
than that, it worked well.

Cheers!
