All of the 7.5 and 7.6 installers now need these terminal server settings as well as changes in DEP settings if you are running the installer from a remote session. If you install something locally (from the console), these are usually not required, or at least they shouldn't be. All of my servers are in a different building, so I have had to put all of these settings on them since I am always working in remote sessions. It is part of the "new, improved" installer design beginning with 7.5.
