Hey Mr. Tee, When creating support groups, you will see both "Vendor" and "Operating Companies" in the Support Company drop-down. You will need to create a support group for each vendor group that you'd like to use for assignment. If the vendor group is going to work in your Remedy instance you can make them a regular support group; they will only appear on the assignment tab. If you only wish to reference an assigned, external vendor, use the "Vendor Group" radio button in the Support Group form. They will appear on the Vendor tab in Incident Management (and also on the Assignment tab).
There are no other limitations/differences that I'm aware of. Cheers! The reason is that I would like to be able to distinguish between internal Remedy supporters and external Remedy supporters from our external vendors (who is member of a support group), so this would be done best if I could set the attribute called "Vendor" instead of "Operating Company". Thanks in advance!
