Everyone, There have been a number of notes here with some customers having issues with the AR System server having issues at startup after installing a specific Microsoft security patch.
In doing research on these issues, we have uncovered the following note from Microsoft. We know that this is related to at least some of the customer situations that have occurred with this security patch. We cannot say definitively that it is related to every problem that has occurred, but in every example we have researched, it has been related. The issue is a problem with the security patch itself and is not something that BMC can resolve. I just wanted to post this note to get the information that we have out to the community as quickly as possible. I encourage you to review the information on the Microsoft site that is referenced and to contact the BMC support team if you are having problems related to this Microsoft security patch. We hope this information is useful to any customer looking at or having issues related to this security patch.
