Still tinkering with it – out of necessity. Best result so far, except for the
logging window being reset and blanked out occasionally (still a problem), was
to set Client-Side Logging Group to Incident Master, and the AR System User
Preference record for an Incident Master account that I am testing with to both
Active Link and Filter logging = Yes. That much is the same as it always was,
but it must all be set properly for the web logging to pick up AL and filter
actions in their proper sequence. Then you just have to figure out how to read
the AL logging, which is significantly different than in the user tool. I am
still seeing actions take place that I can’t find recorded in the web log,
however – don’t know what that’s about, but it isn’t helping.

** Thanks for the feedback guys! That works great.

I'm not quite on 7.6.04 yet, but thanks for the heads up Chris.

It’s not there anymore. I’m fighting the exact same problem right now while
trying to get my customizations to 7.0 to run again in 7.6.04. You can turn on
filter logging in Server Information, and it is ALL filter logging to a file on
the server, and you can turn on AL logging for your user (turn it on in the
User Tool and leave it on… it writes to your AR System User Preference record –
go there to turn it off) and it will pop up in a dialog box while you are
testing on the web. Often when an application dialog box pops up, that log
gets cleared and starts over, so you have to keep iteratively selecting text
out of it and copying it somewhere else – and there are no tools for selecting
all or copying to make that easier. I too am seeing the app fail to work the
same in the User Tool, where you can still do AL and filter (and other) logging
together in one fie, and when it is run on the web. A fair number of functions
have been moved entirely to the mid-tier, and don’t work at all when testing in
the User Tool. IMHO, the testing environment on 7.6.04 has been completely
compromised and is no longer useful.

Subject: Web client active link logging. How do I enable this?

** OK. this is probably a very simple question, but I've been a big fan of the
WUT for a while for helping me debug active link and filters via filter
logging. However, I now have a situation where the web client is behaving
differently than the WUT. I'd like to turn on active link logging for the web
client and then look at the log files. How exactly do I do this?

I must be missing something very simple... :-)
