That would work, except that the report button on table fields is embedded within the table field, and is not a button with a specific field ID.. Every table field has its own Report button if not disabled from the properties of the table field.
You could however use that same approach to open a different view on the web using the $CLIENT-TYPE$, which does not have the Report button enabled in that view.. Same solution basically – used a little differently as there will be no way of showing and hiding that button itself....
