I don't see why it wouldn't work. The kernel is the same regardless
of what flavor linux you use. The libraries bundled with the kernel
will vary, and if you do hit a snag that's probably where it will be.
You can look at the libs used by the libraries and executables using
ldd. Most likely it will not be an issue unless a library is missing,
though there is a chance that something (e.g.) like libm.so resolves
to a newer version of libm that is not compatible with Remedy. If
that happens, you can copy the lib to your target server or compile
the lib from source and update your LD_LIBRARY_PATH to use your
library for that process over the one(s) that come with Ubuntu.

The installer is another story altogether. It may do
silly/unnecessary checks on your flavor of linux and abort if it's not
'supported'. If you run into this condition, simply install on a
supported flavor of linux and tgz the installation directory,
/etc/arsystem directory, and copy to your target Ubuntu server. Also
manually update your rpc configuration, javamail properties, etc. (all
the stuff it tells you to do during a non-root installation).
