Can you provide your thoughts on this senario?

We have encounter on our test environment which is port mapped with a specific
port, that via our citrix environment it takes exact 41 sec to login and MT/WUT
would produce a server time out errors; eventhough, ports have been defined in
firewall, TCD-port and Http 80. Firewall admin did not see any traffic being
dropped; but suggested that we may be experiencing timeouts because the session
in the firewall connectiontable has been cleared, so it tries connect, and then
started a new session which successfully logs in.

What we tried to correct this, is the change the keep-alive on unix servers to
less than and equal to the time the firewall flushes the connection table
(unixx defualt 2 hours), this was done on the ars app server and 2 MT web
servers. Should this have worked?

Also, tried was adding a timer to firewall rule , now these were done all at
once to get the environment to stop timing out. which would you say worked?
