Our environment, Unix 6.1.6 Oracle 10g Ars & db are local.
Our DR, take about 30min to failover ( not including functionality test) We do dataguard, to give you an idea of what we to invoking dr 1. Shutdown prod app. 2. Dns change 3. Db sync data that was not replicated 4. Start dr app. 5. Websphere MT - restart jvm 6.Test, make sure everything integrated/internal works. We ensure dr works by testing it yearly before storm season.
