Job Description
The Remedy/Business Process SME is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in BMC Remedy 
IT Service Management Suite design, implementation, advanced configuration, 
management, and administration and an expert in the ITIL and ITSM frameworks 
and procedures.  The Remedy SME will act as an advisor for the service center 
management and will also have the aptitude to act as the liaison between the 
Enterprise Remedy Support Team and the service center, with a direct focus on 
service center operations.  The characteristics of this position include: a 
working command of technology and architectural concepts; the ability to 
perform an analysis of client processes and provide suggested enhancement to 
processes and system usability.  The successful candidate will have the 
capability to self-direct, self-motivate and act as a mentor to other team 
members.  Minimum certifications: ITIL v3 foundation certification and Remedy 
Approved Consultant (RAC) or equivalent certification.
 
Background & Experience
·         Act as Remedy Subject Mater Expert to include requirements gathering 
for service center and service center customer requirements
·         Act as service center management advisor and liaison between 
Enterprise Remedy Team and local service center
·         Provide Remedy ITSM training for service center employees
·         Assist in preparing application and service center user documentation
·         Diagnosing problems with the Remedy ITSM applications which affect 
the service center and provide suggested solutions to the Enterprise Remedy Team
·         Assist with Reporting (Crystal Reports, Business Objects), report 
development for metrics to include maintaining performance measure reports
 
Qualifications
Minimum Required
·         5+ Years as a Remedy Consultant
·         Experience with Remedy ITSM 7.1 or higher
·         Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
·         Capability to self-direct, self-motivate and act as a mentor to other 
team members
·         Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or 
related field
·         ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
·         Remedy Approved Consultant or equivalent certification
 
US Security Clearance Required:  Secret
Schedule:  Full-time
Shift:  Day - 1st
Travel:  Yes, 10% of the time
