You may get several responses here based on personal preferences..

My personal favorite is leveraging the Application-Query-Delete-Entry in 
customizations that involve deleting a set of records that could be picked up 
easily by a form level query... You can use a combination of Status field to 
make sure you do not delete open incidents, the timestamps to delete between a 
specific period, and other fields on the form to include exceptions and 
inclusions in your query..

Can anyone in this group point me to good documentation on how to purge, not 
archive, old Incident/Change/problem/SRM tickets.  I have many many years worth 
of data that needs cleaning up and I'm not finding any good doc files on the 
BMC site.  I must be using a bad search string?
