I would also look at the original inbound email (which get's stored as an
attachment in the AR System Email Messages form Advanced Options -> Attachment
Alternatives tab). You can open the .eml file in Notepad to see the internet
headers and compare the actual From field for a good email with a bad one.

Are you working with the out of the box (ITSM) application? Or is your system
home grown (custom developed). I suspect, this could be a potential problem
with customization. It could be a problem with your custom workflow (Filter or
Escalation) is setting the full name in the notification, instead of the login
name.

Hi Team,

This is the first time I do contact you as recommended by a friend of mine. I
need assistance concerning an issue with the email engine in ARS 7.6.03. The
issue is that the email engine at a certain point of time starts getting emails
wrongly. Rather than having the "From" field populated by the email address, it
gets populated by the full name of the sender.

I'd be more than grateful if you'd be able to provide me with some assistance.

Regards,

El Ghali Yakoubi
