I’m trying to replicate this – what are the exact steps you do to replicate it?

I have tried
1) Clicking on the drop down field to reveal the menu
2) Press Escape to cancel click on the drop down
3) Tried typing and nothing happens as it should be..

I am however on 7.6.03 – but is this the way you reproduce it on 7.5 patch 6?

Hello Fellow Listers,

I did open a ticket with BMC Support but I find that I can get my questions
answer on the ARSList much faster so here goes.

I have a question for you “Is there a bug in the Mid-Tier 7.5 patch 6?”

We have a drop down menu on a Display Only form. If the user clicks on the
field it will not let them type any value into that field. So far this is what
should ALWAYS happen. However, if they select the drop down menu and then
cancel it and the cursor is still in that drop down menu field the user can now
start typing a value into that field. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.

It does not do that with the User Tool only the mid-tier and only for version
7.5. Our Mid-Tier 7.1 version does not act in this manner. It works like it
should the user can never type into the field only select from the drop down.

Is there a bug in the MidTier Version/Patch- 7.5 Patch 6 that is allowing this
to happen when it should not?
Here is our Environment Profile:
