I think you misunderstood my comment Joe. Of course you need to know what version you're on. Does it matter if it's version 8.0 or version 2012.x, not really. The confusion comes in when the 'dots' represent both minor and major. A change is a change, may be minor to some and major to others. I'm just suggesting is would be nice to group them by year and whether it's minor or major it just simply happened in that year.
