64 bit dates are now there though most code including ARS (and yes,
Meta-Update J) doesn't use it yet.   It'll be similar to y2k because
although the functions will have changed, stored data will need be converted
from 32 to 64 bits.

AR System stores date/time values as the integer number of seconds since

00:00:00 GMT, January 1, 1970. Dates from January 1, 1970 through January
18,

2038 GMT are valid in date/time fields.
