This will probably hit ITSM Asset users first using contract management as
those users will probably have contract agreements with expiration dates far
out into the future.

That depends on how far in the future your company schedules ITSM changes - or
has PBI target date for resolution :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem

You can try it now to see what happens and open an issue to BMC support :) - go
on schedule a change for Jan 20, 2038 and see what happens!

UNIX_TIMSTAMP() will return 0 after 19th Jan, 2038 03:14:07 - so theoretically
you'll return back to 1 Jan,1970 - and we'll get to experience the last 40+
years all over again - LOL.

But if it is around we'll be on version 22.8.51 SP10594 And I'm sure there'll
be a hot fix buried somewhere we'll all have to do the archaeology thing to
uncover it. Plus that's 25+ years from now - how many of us will be working
with Remedy to have to worry about it?

I'm pretty sure that the world ends at that moment....that is assuming that the
world doesn't end on Dec 21st.
