Mark - you may also want to refer to this document (OK - so folks are probably picking themselves up off the floor with me siting a BMC Document, but this one is brief and helpful).
"ITSM Notification engine guide" It's only 48 pages and provides how the notifications work (including the main forms, workflow, etc). I've used it to build custom notifications that can be triggered with a couple filters. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Danaceau" <chris.danac...@finra.org> To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Sent: Wednesday, November 28, 2012 10:51:21 AM Subject: Re: ITSM Notifications ** Mark, the form to update is SYS:Notification Messages. You’ll notice one of the fields is ‘Notification Message Tag’. This is used by the calling filter on the source form to identify the template. Take a look at the filters in the 800 range on the HPD:Help Desk form to get a model to how to build workflow for new message templates. There is another controlling form, NTE:CFG-Notification Events which determines the default settings for Support Staff message templates. This can be accessed by users through their notification preferences on their profiles. Any User record for a particular Notification Event will override the System Default record for that particular user. -- Thank You, Chris Danaceau 240-386-6728 From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arslist@ARSLIST.ORG] On Behalf Of Brittain, Mark Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2012 11:05 AM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: ITSM Notifications ** Hi All, If you have not noticed I am new to ITSM 7.6 and want to take a moment to thank everyone who has responded to my questions. I need to update some of the OOB notifications as well as add custom notifications. Do I go in though the Application Administration Console, directly to a form in the thick client or modify the filter in developer?
