I'll respect Nathan's wishes and won't address this to him or have anyone contact him but similar to Lee I would be doing a disservice to my product if I didn't address the topic in general. I would recommend anyone take a look at Yurbi (www.yurbi.com) for ITSM (or SDE or Footprints) reporting. It can do what has been said plus:
- Integrate the ITSM data with any other data source in your environment
including other databases, Excel, CSV, and Web Service APIs
- Apply a security profile to protect your ITSM data at the field level
(so create 1 report, apply security, and let all your audiences view only
what they should see)
- Have a complete auditing and data governance capability to know what
everyone is running, seeing, exporting, printing, and more
- Have a ETL component to extract data, transform it, and
store/integrate it with other data systems
- Allow end users to setup self-service schedules to automatically get
reports but also service level notifications
- And provide a complete platform for all your BI use cases -
dashboards/mashboards, self-service analytics, ad-hoc reporting, ETL,
embedding (sharepoint and more), etc.
Plus it's extremely affordable, even free depending on your use case.
