ITSM 764 RHEL 5.2 We have stood up multiple 764 ARS servers using the stack installer which defaults to using portmapper. According to support we should've manually added the list of arserverd RPC ports to the /etc/rpc file in order for portmapper to work. This was never done, portmapper is working and ARS starts without issue. No TCD port has been specified.
We are installing a new ARS server with the same OS config but on that server portmapper does not work without adding the arserverd ports to the /etc/rpc file. Trying to figure out what could be different between the hosts that would cause portmapper to not work.
