Yogesh, There is a common mis-conception that 6.0 is necessarily 'older' than 7.x. If you check out
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_Tomcat#Releases and sort by release date...you will see that 5.5.36 was released on 10/10/2012 and latest 6.x was on 10/19/2012....so the fact that it's still shipped with 6.x isn't a problem...it's still receiving security patches and such...so it's still a viable version of Tomcat. 7.x just has a newer feature pack than 6.x, but as mentioned by Laurent, it works with 7.x too :) -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Yogesh Ketkar Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2013 3:49 AM To: [email protected] Subject: ARS with Tomcat 7 ** I have a couple of questions about Tomcat 7 1. Why does even latest versions of ARS (like 8.0) ship with Tomcat 6 and NOT Tomcat 7? 2. If we install/migrate Midtier for Tomcat 7, would there be any issues?
