1. The Tomcat included with AR System is provided as a convenience and is not
intended to convey a required version - or that the provided Tomcat must be
used at all. If it is determined that the currently provided version fails to
provide the minimum necessary functionality, it may be considered to be updated
to a later version during the release cycle of future versions of AR System.
Customers may choose to upgrade the provided version or just use a previously
installed later version during install/upgrade of AR System. Or they may
choose to use any of the other supported web servers / JSP engines.

2. BMC supports the minimum listed version in the compatibility matrix or
higher. Thus, later versions (or patches added to the existing version) of
Tomcat would be supported by BMC.

Subject: ARS with Tomcat 7

**
I have a couple of questions about Tomcat 7

1. Why does even latest versions of ARS (like 8.0) ship with Tomcat 6 and
NOT Tomcat 7?

2. If we install/migrate Midtier for Tomcat 7, would there be any issues?

Regards, Yogesh
