To Peter's point, first make sure you are not getting duplicates from ADDM by checking within the ADDM data set. Sometimes, something like network adapter change can cause ADDM to think a machine is new and creates a new record for it but to you, it looks like a dupe.

If the recon identification is finding duplicates can you see any data for these duplicates that distinguish them? If so, use that data in the rules. IMHO the otb identification rules are not so good so you might consider using your own based on the data you’re getting. I’ve also seen the ADDM integration create duplicates. *From:* Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [ mailto:[email protected] <[email protected]>] *On Behalf Of *Kathy Morris *Sent:* 14 March 2013 20:58 *To:* [email protected] *Subject:* Re: CMDB RE Identification Rules ** I am not sure what else I can modify the identification rules to. I am using the out of box rules and it is not working. Which criteria should I add to the rules? We are using the out- of- box identification rules. I looked in the knowledge base and it states that the ADDM Integration ID may be another filter if your only source data is from ADDM. We have data coming from ADDM and multiple sources. Does anyone know what further identification rules that I can build to identify these assets? Do I need to create workflow/fields to build logic to identify assets? We are on AR System and ITSM 7.6.4.
