There are two notes saying Servers with in a server group need not have the same OS but workflow commands for invoking programs should be compatible with all OS. That means you need to start writing workflow run if ($OS$ = "Linux" ) etc.. The other one saying the ARSystem and Applications in all servers should be of same version and patch. There might be some issues with FTS because you are mixing up unix and windows filesystems to store index files.
