well..it's not complex...so if you have complex workflow, it may be in the order that you are doing things...a simple active link that opens the record in question in 'display' mode, and then a second action that closes the current window, is all that's needed...if you are doing it in the other order (close, then open) the close action terminates the AL in question, so the open never occurrs...
