Use the Server Group Ranking form to control which servers are able to run escalations. In a server group escalations should run on the highest ranked (lowest number) active server. For example, suppose you have three servers A, B and C with escalations ranked A = 1 , B = 2 and C = 3. If all three servers are running then escalations will run on server A. If this server stops for some reason then escalations will start being run on B. When A is restarted escalations will stop on B and run on A again. If you enable server group logging you will see this happen.
If you don't want server B to run escalations at any time then delete the ranking value for this server - A = 1, B = not set, C = 2. But, according to the official documentation: - The disable escalations check at the server configuration form is not used when configured in a server group. - The number of escalation threads is defaulted to one, when no escalation queue is set.
