Jim, Andrew, Yes, Flash is pretty awful. I don't know why it isn't dead yet - I can only assume it's easy to find cheap resource to build noddy applications. I regularly get cross when various streaming services (and BBC iPlayer) stop working when my Linux box decides to update Flash, and maybe it's those types of service that allow it to live on?
