We had discussions, then still told them no.

There are some other things that are locked down that we did customize to allow
them to do, such as creating relationships to other records, but things like
Tasks, Summary, Notes, etc. should not be changed when it's already on the
implementation approvals. The reason is because it's showing a lack of
planning and is technically an audit risk because if what the approvers are
approving is different from what will actually be done, it defeats the whole
purpose of doing the approval.

The way we handle it is that if they want to make any change to the core
implementation work for anything "Scheduled for Approval" or higher, it either
gets rejected by someone (if it's in an approval phase) or they have to click
"Back" and change it before rescheduling it and re-requesting approvals.

However, the work to actually modify what gets locked down are just a few
Active Links and not a big deal to add an overlay to and change.

Thanks,

Shawn Pierson

Subject: Override Change Lock down durring approval phase 8.1

**
Has anyone done a customization to override this? It's causing a bit of a
storm for us as we go through our upgrade and our release teams are insisting
they have to be able to add tasks and change other information even during
implementation approval.

Discussion about best practice are falling on , if not deaf, then unresponsive
ears.

I'm about to go in and see what's involved from a workflow perspective.
