Hi,

By default, two local repo "libs-snapshots-local" and
"plugins-snapshots-local" are configured to receive snapshots.
Be careful: They are configured with enforced "non-unique" behavior.
Contrary to what the name means, it's a maven configuration for deploy
(state in the distribution management block) that enforce the name of the
file to stay *-SNAPSHOT without changing it to DATE-BUILD.
To read and watch deployment with Artifactory:
http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Configuring+Deployment

To read more about the "unique", "non-unique", "deployer" mechanism you can
read:
http://wiki.jfrog.org/confluence/display/RTF/Local+and+Remote+Repositories

HTH,
Fred.
