Hi, I am new to Artifactory and so far love it. So far I've successfully used
Hudson to auto post jars that my Grails project can auto-resolve and
download. Now I'm trying to do the same for a grails plugin, and I am having
some difficulty getting a .pom file with the name that Grails wants.

Grails seems to want a POM and ZIP with the same name scheme, I can't seem
to get Artifactory to give me a POM with the same name.

I have a zip of my plugin called '

I have a artifact with
groupId: org.grails.plugins
artifactId: mdp-core
version: 0.1
classifier: jar
type: zip

So this makes a file called mdp-core-0.1-jar.zip in the artifact folder
org.grails.plugins under repo 'plugins-release-local'. All fine.

Grails looks for the zip called mdp-core-0.1-jar.zip in the right place.
However it's called the POM mdp-core-0.1.pom. Grails doesn't like this - it
wants to find a POM of the same name(mdp-core-0.1-jar.pom), or it just says
it can't find the resource (I guess if it can't find the pom by that name it
gives up). Does anybody know of a way to make it auto-generate a POM with
the same name scheme, or to manually put one with that name in Artifactory?.
I noticed you can't just shove files in the directory structure and have it
find them, and must be added either via command line maven or the web gui to
get added (I use the command line maven targets to add jars for another
thing from hudson, works great). It appears I can't really control the
Grails end of what it's looking for, so I hope I can get Artifactory to pick
up the slack somehow. I know other people are doing this, but they seem to
gloss over this detail and haven't been forthcoming about how to get around
it on the grails list.

Thanks, Ryan
