Hi all, I tried to compress the Derby DB for my Artifactory instance
after deleting a large number of artifacts. The compress failed with
some Derby errors related to lock acquisition. Now, even after
restarting Artifactory, it doesn't appear to even acknowledge a
"compress" request. I can hit the REST api or go through the UI, and in
either case nothing appears to happen. No logging (to the
artifactory.log or the console) shows that the compress command is being
processed, nor do any error messages show up.

I'm guessing that the previous failed compress has left Artifactory in
some confused state (possibly an orphaned lock file or something) that
is preventing it from beginning the compress operation. But that's just
a hunch, and even if it's right, I haven't found the underlying problem
yet.

Any thoughts / pointers / suggestions?

Thanks,

Phillip Rhodes
