Hi,

For the virus check it was a firewall feature not antivirus on the machine
itself.
Anyway, we had an issue not long ago with wrong Jumbo packet (MTU 9000)
management with some network appliances. The internal network routers of the
company was cutting the Jumbo packet into MTU of 1500 and so creating a lot
more chunk than the sender (remote server) is actually sending.
And so, the socket was closed too early before all the packets were
reassemble and it failed.
This was happening randomly on any relatively big artifacts.

I'm not sure it's your issue, but can you check the MTU of your unix server?

For me, you should try doing curl or wget queries on the xerces jar in
different places of your network to verify the stream is OK.

Good luck.,
Fred.
