Hi all.
I've just seen that the Jenkins plugin supports releasing (and it looks like
it's based on the M2 Release Plugin by James Nord).
I have contacted the M2 Release Plugin author and we shared some ideas on
how interesting and useful it would be to achieve automatic releasing.
Releasing almost always follows artifact version schemes/lifecycles, so
versions can be updated by the plugin without the need of human input. It
would be great if we can have a way of specifying how to increment the dev
and release versions of the artifacts in the configuration, so that we could
release by just one click (or by hitting a URL)
Is there any plans for pursuing something like that?
I can provide more details and may be willing to contribute if the idea
sounds good.
