Yes, we definitely have more plans for the Artifactory Jenkins
plugin, including fully automated release management and pluggable release
policies.
Although the plugin does borrow some ideas from the M2 release plugin, it is
a complete new implementation with some important key differences like:
- Much faster lifecycle
- Transparant easy rollbacks
- Reuses Jenkins' already configured tools (build tools + VCS)
- Gradle support
