They get populated when artifacts are requested from them. You really don't want the entire MavenCentral (for example) structure in Artifactory, just the pieces you use.
If you want the whole thing you are going to have to make requests for everything in there, and then anything that gets added from that point. It could take some time... ;-) -Andy 2 "How *reliable* [is he]? How shallow is the ocean? Apologies if this is obvious to everyone else... I've deployed the war file within tomcat6 and started the application, all looks great. Now, I want navigate around the preconfigured repositories, for instance repro1-cache. However, it appears it's empty, there's no tree element to expand. This appears to be the story for all the listed repositories. Consequently I can run any searches for particular artifacts. Am I missing a stage here? Do I need to force it to index itself? What should I be expecting once I've deployed the war file and when I first log in? I guess my expectation would have been that the remote repositories would have been indexed automatically in the background, and that any requested artifacts from my maven projects, would have been cached locally. Is this invalid? Any feedback will be most appreciated, particularly any pointers to user documentation that covers this and I've overlooked.
