After reading this:

I added the suggested repository and pluginRepository entries, to the
appropriate section, under the active profile.
When I try to run a build with Maven (3.0.4), it fails with:
[ERROR] Error executing Maven.
[ERROR] 4 problems were encountered while building the effective settings
[ERROR] 'profiles.profile[alip-artifactory].repositories.repository.url' for
central is missing @ /home/ste/.m2/settings.xml
[ERROR] 'profiles.profile[alip-artifactory].repositories.repository.url' for
snapshots is missing @ /home/ste/.m2/settings.xml
[ERROR]
'profiles.profile[alip-artifactory].pluginRepositories.pluginRepository.url'
for central is missing @ /home/ste/.m2/settings.xml
[ERROR]
'profiles.profile[alip-artifactory].pluginRepositories.pluginRepository.url'
for snapshots is missing @ /home/ste/.m2/settings.xml
So, what the web page told me doesn't appear to work, at least with this
version of Maven.
Can someone tell me the correct way to do this, please?
