The URL in the post itself doesn't work because it's an internal URL that
works only inside our network.

The URL you wrote is for a specific release version. This works find for us.

I'm talking about a request for the latest SNAPSHOT version. When we deploy
snapshots to artifactory using a maven-2 layout with unique snapshots, they
are stored in a folder such as 1.2.1-SNAPSHOT, but the file names themselves
have SNAPSHOT replaced by a timestamp and build number. When a build (we
build using Gradle) attempts to get the latest 1.2.1-SNAPSHOT, it asks for a
URL such as this:

http://artifactory/libs-snapshot-local/com/sundaysky/sundaysky-server/1.0.0-SNAPSHOT/sundaysky-server-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

In the past (Artifactory 2.6.2) artifactory knew how to resolve this to the
last snapshot under 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT. Since upgrading to 3.0.1, this returns
404, breaking all our builds.
I hope this clarifies the problem.
