Hi Guys,
Usually this scenario is happening when using a very 'big' virtual
repository for resolution of your artifacts. What is happening behind
stages is that the virtual repository will aggregates all of the content
(all of the remote maven-metadata.xml files) from the remote repositories
in order to have a full list of artifacts that are available to it.
This can be 'fix' by creating your own virtual repository that will hold
less remote repositories. By doing so you should reduce the time of the
aggregation of this maven-metadata.xml file.
Another option is to address directly to a remote repository that holds the
specific artifacts. For example, if you are trying to resolve Maven
artifacts you can try resolving them directly from the Jcenter remote
repository.
