Hi,
I found out a few things why my arts sound so bad
I had to upgrade my bios for my thinkpad 600x to the latest version, and i
had 2 use the ps2 config util to stop the advanced power management for the
pcibus.
It sound a bit better now when i use the default options in KDE2.1. U said 2
use a custom sample rate so i did i used 48000 and 24000.
When i did that i looked at the console and saw the msg. "can open device
/dev/dsp Device is busy". i see it only when i use a custom sample rate.
Where and how can i find what is using /dev/dsp and how 2 config it so arts
can use it.
Ernst,
