Position:SQL/Windows consultant. Rate: DOE
Our ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years experience in infrastructure and network management. Experience with Windows Server 2008 required. Experience in supporting development efforts 3+ years experience with SQL and MS Clustering, and Microsoft .Net a must. SQL responsibilities would include but not be limited to: Database maintenance & Availability, Backup/Restore, Job monitoring Optimization & Performance monitoring and tuning Security, Troubleshooting, Capacity Planning Storage Requirements, Identification and recommendations of hardware configurations Ensures all database environments (Development, Test, Staging, and Production) are in sync. Performs database design/modeling of new applications and database changes to existing applications. Develops and maintains documented guidelines for database security and disaster recovery. Creates, maintains, and enforces documented database standards. Serves as a technical and analytical resource. Reports project/task status and hours worked to the Information Systems Manager via weekly status report. Keeps informed of advances in databases and database administration and the application of that technology to improve systems. This position also involves, communication with HP and AA Network/ Security groups and resolution of hardware and network issues, working with HP / AA ITS Service Processes such as Service requests, Software license renewals, Firewall Requests, FTP Accounts maintenance, and Security exceptions ; managing Hardware / Software acquisitions ; and managing Internet / Intranet addressing and domains and SSL certificates. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Candidate requires minimal supervision and is relatively autonomous in all aspects of assigned work. May be responsible for training new team members. Typically reports to a department manager or project manager. Defines and analyzes system software design requirements and writes software requirements documents to meet defined and anticipated customer needs and system quality and performance standards.
