*Business Objects Developer** * *in NEW YORK, NY.* Job Summary & Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in BO application development, knowledge of Investment management and Client Reporting would be desirable. • Act as lead programmer on Event Management reporting tool • Serve as Business Objects Developer – includes developing Universe and reports • Provide expertise in designing reporting schema • Validate ETL approach for loading data into reporting schema • Analyze, design, code test and implement database schema that scales as new dimensions and facts are added Basic Qualifications • Strong analytical and communications skills, working successfully with business users, peers, and management both locally and in remote locations • Highly motivated self-starter who can work as part of a team and highly organised and methodical • Minimum of 5 years development lifecycle experience with experience in the following o BusinessObject infrastructure and architecture o BusinessObjects SDKs – VBA/Java/JSP o Strong Universe Designer knowledge, Infoview Web Reporting Tools. o Database Modelling skills ideally with DB2 o Data Warehousing Knowledge o Query Tuning o Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows Server Good verbal and written communication skills, be a team player, the ability to own packages of work from initiation through to delivery and to work in a high pressure environment to produce high-quality code.
