JBoss Admin Minneapolis, MN Position Responsibilities: · Own and perform a JBoss EAP 4.3 application server upgrade to the latest support version. o Come into the environment and quickly understand the application which is currently on Jboss4.3. o Get the application to compile using the newest and latest JBOSS application server .jars; the application currently compiles against some of the jars that come with JBOSS. o Upgrade the application caching implementation which is currently using an outdated tree cache implementation. o Upgrade the structure of the application .ear file to the Java 1.6 specification level. This includes updating the application.xml file. o Update the ejb.xml files for EJB 1,2,3 such that the EJB's will deploy to new version of JBOSS. o Update the ANT build scripts to compile, package and deploy the application in our environments including our continuous integration Jenkins server. o Get the application to start and work correctly with the new JBOSS version. Required Skills: · Desirable to have RHCJA and/or RHCJD certification (Red Hat Certified JBoss Administrator and Red Hat Certified JBOSS Developer). · At least 4 to 5 years of experience as a JBoss Administrator, with specific experience around application server migrations and J2EE development. · Must have performed a JBoss upgarde from v4 to v5. · Must be an experienced J2EE developer with corresponding technology experience including, EJB 1, 2, and 3, SOAP & RESTful Web-services, JSP, Seam, Struts, ANT, Jenkins, Eclipse, SVN. · Experience in both Unix and Windows 7 environment with ability to read, write and understand shell scripts in both environments. · Experience with Grid Gain is a plus.
