Your "share" of the $90m or so budget was around $4.5m My math shows
12.5% x 0 = 0 compared to the rest of the non-Abbott districts. Long
Branch, with their new group fo aorund $100m in schools, residents
pay about 26% of their school budget. AP is 2%.
The non-abbott districts - around 94% of their budget.
This is called planning - a gradual increase in your local school
taxes to become less dependent on that hand-out.
Accountability when it's your own money. Much like health insurance
that most of us have to contribute to. Winging it on our own, that
costs about $1200 month and you still have to contribute hwne you
show up at the Dr or get a script.
The increases in taxes are why your rents HAVE to go up.
