I'll join with Dan, the rich,as you put it, do a pretty good job of
supporting those less fortunate. How much is enough? Should a $2m
dollar house be hit with 30k in taxes? Or be hit 40k on the sale - just
for taxes - just because. Because as long as money is hauled in from
the rich and everyday joe with no accountability - then the spending
will continue.
You get penalized with increased taxes for taking care of your home -
taking out a building permit and doing the job right. Sure your house
might go up in value along with the taxes.
