Oakdorf: I am out of the loop on the board of ed's problems. Maybe they should privatize it, send the kids to other districts, until this town learn how to educate these kids. Seems they're not getting a T&E. Is it the teachers?, The administration? The board, or a combination of all three, not to mention, who is heading up these families. Are they mainly 2-parent homes? Single? An awful lot of taxpayer dollars come in, but where does all that money go? In Administrative costs? If so, then the kids lose all around! My oldest grandson graduated in 2000. He went to Boys State in 1999, was a scholar athlete, played football for the Bishops, was a quiet, good kid. He came from a 2-parent home. Does that make a difference? He is earning a 6-figured, salary, a college graduate, from Asbury Park. Is he the exception? Every year, my organization awards scholarships to at least 2 graduates, so someone is doing something right! Just my thoughts. Sharon (Not afraid to sign my REAL name)
