2012 RESTAURANT TOUR: Destination ASBURY PARK
Restaurant Owners
The Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Restaurant Tour on April
29, 2012 from Noon – 4p.m. including restaurants all over town.
After several successful past Taste of Asbury Park events and using
constructive feedback the restaurants themselves, this new program has been
developed to encourage food-lovers INTO your restaurants.
PARTICIPATION
APCC members and non-members* are welcome to participate in this event and
the promotion. Each restaurant agrees to serve individual, bite-sized
morsels right in your location from noon-4pm. Expect 500+ samples to be
enjoyed.
We will be aggressively marketing this event in print advertising in local
newspapers, direct mail (60,000), radio (90.5 the night), at the Garden
State Film Festival, at our March & April First Saturday Asbury Park
celebrations and via a strategic series of weekly email blasts featuring the
Tour &
highlighting participating member restaurants as well as ongoing social
media.
Restaurant Tour wristbands will sold in advance; priced at $30.00 for a
tasting experience at over 25 Asbury Park restaurants. The APCC Visitor
Trailer will be stationed in Press Plaza to distribute wristbands and greet
food-lovers. Each guest will be given a tasting guide including a map and
transportation options to move around town.
Restaurant Tour Ambassadors will be stationed throughout the city guiding
food-lovers to participating restaurants and demonstrations happening
throughout the day.
The Chamber is looking forward to hosting 1,000 Restaurant Tour Guests.
This event can be your commercial to tell your restaurant’s story!
Samplings of your signature dishes will be remembered, as will any kind of
cooking
information, recipes, coupons or demos. The sky is the limit on how you
choose to sell your restaurant!
*Non-members who wish to participate are welcome with a $50.00 fee. This
fee can be applied to a 2012 Chamber Membership. We hope you do!
