Hi Zhan
Thanks for contact us. I'm pleased to hear that you have got ASCEND up
and running. If you have succeeded in writing and running some simple
models, perhaps you should work on some slightly harder ones. There are
many models that one can write that do no solve trivially, eg due to
difficult simultaneous non-linear equations. It is good to experience
the difficulty in that. One example that you could try would be the
Colebrook equation for frictional pressure drops in water flow in pipes,
for example.
Assuming you're happy that you have understood the basic working of the
ASCEND language, though, perhaps you should move on and look at fixing
some bugs, or proposing some new functionality, or else start to think
about areas where you could make useful contribution. In open-source
development, the onus is very much on you to decide where your most
useful contribution will be, and then to simply start working! Let us
know how you proceed.
If you have difficulty understanding any particular project description,
please let us know and we can try to expand.
Cheers
JP

Enable your software for Intel(R) Active Management Technology to meet the
growing manageability and security demands of your customers. Businesses
are taking advantage of Intel(R) vPro (TM) technology - will your software
