Hi Joseph Thanks for your interest. The best thing for you to do to aid your proposal would be to get the code, compile it, run it, write some models of your own and generally get up to speed on what ASCEND does and how it does it. Then, you should aim to make some form of material contribution to the project before the application deadline. If your interest is in the PyGTK GUI then you might like to look into the internationalisation issue, perhaps -- how to deal with different input locales properly, for example. Alternatively, you would work on improving the plotting and 'observer' functionality, perhaps.
