Hello Sir,
I'm a student in my 4th year of B. Tech - M. Tech dual degree program in the
Dept. of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur,
India. I have gone through the list of Student Projects proposed for
GSoC-2011 and I'm interested in working on "FPROPS" and/or "Reaction
Kinetics Data Support". I have also read the related ASCEND wiki pages and
some of the source code to get the details about the work done until now and
proposed functionality. I have good experience in working with C/C++ and
some acquaintance with FORTRAN and Python. I am currently preparing the
proposal for the same and would like to hear your comments before final
submission.
I have been successfully able to build ASCEND on my Ubuntu 10.10 system
after the latest Bug fix on GTKLIBPATH and some minor tweaks. I'm trying to
get more acquainted with the workings of software by trying out some models
and browsing through the source code.
